Tonbridge & Malling Green Party hosted a gathering of Green Party activists from the county and beyond on Saturday (19th January). Over 50 people attended a training session on local campaigning and heard an inspirational speech from Amelia Womack, deputy leader of the Green Party.
Amelia Womack said: “Local elections give us a chance to truly shape the communities we live in. We know that as Greens we have transformative power and getting that Green voice in our council chambers holds councils to account and ensures that motions that simply wouldn’t get tabled, get tabled and the Green agenda gets heard”
Everyone then headed out onto the streets of Tonbridge to knock on doors and deliver leaflets in support of our candidates in this year's local elections, Mark Hood and April Clark - below with Amelia Womack (centre).
